another mini. { frost on flower }

This afternoon served as a makeup time for mini sessions that couldn't take place on the originally scheduled today.  I had a few lined up but all but one were cancelled - unfortunate circumstances involved family emergencies and car accidents!  I hope that everyone is doing okay.. I would have much rather seen them happy at a mini session!

You might recognize this family.. I've photographed a couple of times before.. the first time being during fall mini sessions last year.

We met at the Lyndale Park Peace Garden.  The weather was slightly chilly but a little better than the past few days.

We quietly worked out way around the perimeter of the park as there was a small wedding taking place right in the center of things.

When we got to the leafy area both of the kiddos went completely bonkers for the leaves and could barely sit still for any useful length of time.  We squeezed in a few more family shots, attempted a few more, and got quite a few shots of them running around and goofing off in the leaves!

fall mini sessions, round 2. { frost on flower }

After a nice lunch break at Gigi's Cafe in south Minneapolis with Tyler and Olive, they dropped me off at the Peace Garden and I got to work.  I was looking forward to the afternoon sessions - they involved both much younger and much older kids than the morning sessions.. so less running around.  ;)

First up I met the G family.  In our short time together we were able to chat a bit and I learned that they were supposed to give birth at the birth center that we're going to.  They had a complication pop up and ended up birthing in Wisconsin!  Thankfully everything still went well.  :)

Little baby Avery did a great job braving the weather - you can't tell from these photos but by the afternoon the temperature had dropped a little and it was quite windy.

Next I met with the H family.  Their session was scheduled pretty last minute - I had a potential opening and they had a different photographer scheduled who had a family emergency.  Everything worked out perfectly!

It was drizzling at this point but these guys were troopers and we squeezed in some great shots.

We ended up under the trees as the drizzle did it's thing.

With an older group we had enough time to fit in many different poses and breakdowns of their group.

At this point I sent a text message to my next few sessions and mentioned that it was drizzling.  Everyone was prepared to brave the weather and still meet with me.

Next was the M family, another last minute schedule filler.  It was great to meet them.. they did a good job with the cooler temperature.

The next session was with the L family - I did a fall mini with them last year as well.  It was great to check in with them again!

And then I met with the S family whom I'm sure you recognize.. I photograph them a lot!  They're a great family.  :)

Got some great shots of this little guy right at the end of the session.  I love how he looks like he's gazing at the clouds in the above shot.  And we got some great smiles below!
