I'm not sure what this is. But I was told to photograph it.
June reminds me of a geisha in this photo. For some reason.
First we went into the only room of the main building that was open. When you enter, if you turn to the right, you go into the conservatory - it was closed for an event. If you turn left there is a room full of plants, much like the conservatory, but also full of animals, like the zoo. So it's like... a conservatoo. A zooservatory.
This room is warm. And moist. And coming inside from a cool Minnesota day means instantly foggy glasses and the most foggy camera lens possible. But sometimes, if I'm in the right mood, it makes photographing pretty fun.
It's like a misty jungle.
Oh boy I can't wait for summer.
They're looking at a little waterfall that goes into a pond full of turtles. Before this we looked at the biggest snake I've ever seen. And thousands of ants.
June spent most of the time in the primate building screeching at the top of his lungs. To June, most animals make this sound. Sometimes dolls make this sound also.
I really hate zoos. I hate HATE zoos. But I love seeing Olive and June get excited at the zoo.
This is the first time that he was really into looking at all of the animals. It's so nice to be able to visit the zoo on a weekday.
The floor is always wet in the building that houses the fish, penguins, seals, etc.
This is probably one of the most sad parts of the zoo.
Did you know? June can fly!
Sure.. why not hang out in an outdoor photo booth when it's like.. 10 degrees outside. It's not like your mom has a million cameras or anything.
The best part of the zoo? Oh wait. Como Town is the best part of the zoo.
He seems so big up close. But so teeny from far away.
We all managed to hold hands for a few minutes.
