This was my second time photographing this lovely family. I used to work with their mama and met them last fall during a mini session for the first time. It was a fun and quick session so this time it was really nice to spend some more time with them.
Their mom really liked previous photos that I have taken at the Guthrie theatre, which is usually a haven in less than preferred weather, but, despite the nice weather, we still headed there since she likes it so much. We began inside, explored the various spaces, and finished up outside in the warm summer heat.
He had just lost his first tooth the night before - good timing to document it! :)
As always, the Amber Lounge is the most interesting spot.
Love the muted colors here. :)
I don't often photograph outside on the Endless Bridge by this awesome blue wall because I'm often at the Guthrie in the snow or rain - I was excited to head outside and play with the great reflections!
The almost two year old wasn't too keen on sitting (are they ever?) so we grabbed a show advertisement book to keep them busy. :)
And then we did some exploring outside.
Her favorite spot was these old railroad tracks which lined the street. Of course she insisted on being right next to the street.
This was my attempt to get her closer to a big cherry picker that her brother enjoyed climbing on. She was eyeing some rocks so I brought them close to the big machine - she immediately came over, picked up every single rock, and put them back where I got them from. I guess she got a little closer to it.. but she didn't stay long!
Hope to see you guys again sometime! :)
