I started my morning with Alanna and Ian. I photographed their wedding in downtown Minneapolis last fall. It was great to see them again. :)
Next up was the C family whom I have photographed twice before. Once at the Guthrie before their new daughter arrived and later at their home when she was a couple months old. A mini session was just what they needed for some quick updated photos! And it was great to see them again. :)
Next was the S family, who know the previous family. They had nice little overlap where the kids got to say hello to each other.
They brought a pumpkin along, which was a huge help. :) I had a couple of pumpkins this size with me last year but I traveled light this year being that I'm kind of really pregnant.
And then I met the F family who is related to a family that I photographed later in the day. They have two little boys who were both a pleasure to work with.
I may or may not have done some head swapping in a few of their photos. ;)
This guy kept his expressions pretty simple throughout the session.
And this guy had a great time in the leaves.
I always like to offer mom and dad a kid free photo whenever we have time.
Next up was another F family who is connected to the previous family - the moms went to college together.
Their daughter had just finished swimming lessons and didn't seem quite in the mood for photos when they arrived. I started the session by offering to photograph her stuffed monkey. That seemed to get us off on just the right foot!
I really like the "creepy" monkey photo bomb in this one.. :P
Don't be fooled.. she actually doesn't like to sleep!
And last was the N family.. another family with two little boys. They enjoyed moving in opposite directions from each and moving very very quickly. They certainly kept me on my toes!
See what I mean about the moving quickly thing in the following photo?
I love the tiny leaf stuck to his bottom. :)
And then it was time to hop into my car for a lunch break and some time to sit before heading to the next round of mini sessions!
